Located by a weir on the River Thames, Charlie Bell's is an intimate restaurant that offers a superb ambience. Named after a 19th century lockkeeper, it offers an exceptional dining experience in sunny weather when the seating ventures outside, almost at the water's edge. International influences can be found across the varied menu, such as a Greek meze or nachos. However, it is the burgers that make Charlie Bell's unique. Handmade using Scotch beef, varieties include chorizo burgers, barbecue, spicy peanut and blue cheese burgers, all of which are char-grilled over flaming lava bricks. Vegetarians can also enjoy burgers made from Quorn or in a pakora-style patty. With all dishes at very reasonable prices, this is a real riverside treat.
